Calls for Red Cross symbol to be axed
dailymail.co.uk —
A Labour minister has sparked controversy by claiming that an alternative symbol is needed for the Red Cross because of the logo's supposed links to the Crusades. It was never intended to have any religious meaning and is thought to have been intended as a tribute to traditionally neutral Switzerland...

Good grief. Now we'll have to realign all our roads so they don't intersect at a right angle!

Movies That Would Make Horrible Video Games
By George 'El Guapo' Roush on June 10, 2009

The movie/video game crossover has been happening for years. While it's debatable as to which movie based off of a video game was worse (has to be Mario Bros.) what isn't discussed is what movie would make a really bad video game.

ShoWest: Sherlock Holmes is a Comedy? Is It That Bad?

The first thing you need to know is that this isn't the Sherlock Holmes you know… It a funky way, it's kind of like if Snatch were about a British detective from the 1800s, which is exactly what it is, thanks to Guy Ritchie writing and directing.

Whose signature top hat is Downey wearing? Mr. Peanut's? Holmes wore a deerstalker.

~ShadouNote: Most of the commenters liked the fun feel of the Sherlock Holmes movie. I... have reservations about that. That's why I think the comment was cool.

Darn.

Rumor: Stephen Sommers Fired Mid-Way Through G.I. Joe?

This sounds like the kind of story we'd usually hear coming from Fox, but this time it's Paramount. A user on the Don Murphy Message Boards (via Latino Review) has posted an unverified story detailing a behind-the-scenes fiasco regarding the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie.

Marlon Wayans is always the red flag for a movie. I figure Hell is kind of like a nonstop Marlon Wayan's reel.

You can take a good look at a T-Bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass but wouldn't you rather take the bull's word for it?
